A total of 186 vacancies have been announced for the post of Drug Inspector under the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare through the UPSC Drug Inspector Recruitment 2026. The selection of candidates for the Drug Inspector post will be carried out by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through the prescribed recruitment process. The initial basic pay starts from ₹47,600 per month, and with Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other admissible Central Government allowances, the monthly gross salary becomes significantly higher depending on the place of posting.
